Large Consumer Product Goods Company Automates Platform Migration One of the leading CPG firms needed to move a complex application to a new computer platform. In addition to providing important Business Intelligence for the organization, this system performed mission-critical day-to-day operational functions. Attempting to perform a manual conversion effort would have been time-consuming, risky, and costly.
 
To make the initiative possible, Doug Lautzenheiser created software to automatically perform much of the manual work needed to translate platform-specific syntax and to port programs and databases into the new environment.
